Center for Digital Equity (formerly Digital Charlotte) launches the Digital Navigators program in concert with Mecklenburg County, the City of Charlotte, and other key local partners. 2020 Money Magnets Club Informational Bumper
Alexandra Arrington co-founded the Money Magnets Club with Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Children’s Librarian, Teresa Cain to help elementary school students experiment with starting a business. Students who attend the free sessions and meet the program requirements are eligible to earn $25 toward launching their business idea.
2019 Digital Literacy Class, a First at Mecklenburg County Detention Center
A first of its kind earned device digital literacy skills course was facilitated by Alexandra Arrington and Digital Charlotte’s Executive Director, Bruce Clark in 2019 at a Mecklenburg County Detention Facility. Alexandra reflects on the experience with members of the community that were incarcerated.
